The importance of Ha’il goes back to the time before the construction of the Hejaz railway between Damascus and Medina, and the presence of inexpensive steamship routes to Jeddah. Back then it was the “key to the desert” because its traditional camel caravan was the main route that pilgrims took to reach the Holy Cities of Mecca and Medina. Traders heading to the north and south of the Arabian Peninsula also took this road. Hotel Bookings in Hail

Ha’il used to be the center of the Rashidi Amirs until Ibn Saud destroyed the Barzan Palace and dismissed the Rashidi leaders, leading to the fall and decline of the city.
Today, the importance of Ha’il has shifted to another field: agriculture. It is considered the core of the agricultural program of Saudi Arabia and most of the wheat crops of the country come from the area surrounding this city. It is also famous for the production of vegetables and fruit. The city is now connected to Riyadh, Mecca, Medina and Jeddah through modern expressways. Ha’il has its own regional airport.

There are some marvelous places that you can visit during your stay in Ha’il; you can venture through history by visiting historic palaces - some of which belonged to the Ottoman era - old Thammadi artifacts, and ancient lakes and wells. If you wish to delve deeper still historically, you can visit the famous museum and time-travel to the past. You can then enjoy a walk either in one of the thirty gardens of Ha’il, or in one of the public parks, the most famous of which is Mashar Park because it has an artificial lake that is 65 square meters, and a 300 meter high waterfall. Moreover, you can get a taste of the culture by checking out the artistic exhibitions at the cultural center. Other places you might want to go to include the public library and the Ha’il zoo in which you can spend quality time with your family. If you would like to see how an extinct volcano looks, just pass through the area surrounding Ha’il.

Tourists visiting the city usually go to Jabal Aja which lies in the west and south-west of Ha’il city. It is one of the greenest areas in northern Arabia; it has many granite mountains with deep valleys where Acacia trees grow. The Shammar Mountains, Jabal al Matali, Wadi Ha’il, and An-Nafud are other well-known attractions in the city; the latter is a reddish dessert that experiences frequent sandstorms. It also has some irrigation places used in agriculture.

During times of foreign influence, the city of Ha'il preserved the purity of the Arabic language. Thus, it is well known as a "center of learning" and is home to the famous university, the University of Ha'il. Many of the Arab world’s famous poets were natives of this city; a prominent example is Antarah bin Shaddad (author of one of the most famous Arabic poems, Mu’allaqat).
Prince Sultan often visits Ha’il and helps elevate its standards; one of the main reasons for that is that his mother is originally from the city. get hail hotels, hail accommodation, hotels in hail, hail hotel reservations, hail motel reservation, cheap hail hotels booking, hail hotels services.
